Obsolete barrier

Path not obvious due to poor signage and bushes

Overhanging bushes need cutting back at points along here especially at the Bellsquarry end

Pothole across the width of the path

Dark path Uninviting due to overhanging trees, Poor surface

Sign post on left of picture directs NCR75 along the road. A bare signpost to the right of the traffic cone is located on the actual route of NCR75.

Sign down between Armadale and Blackridge

NCR75 sign pointing to wrong route

Livingston. Dark tree covered intimidating path

Linlithgow sure knows how to present its historic monuments!

Someone decided to pave the parking bays with expensive stone paving slabs. What a waste!

Car parking bays painted on the expensive stone paving slabs, and hardly any space left for pedestrians. But still the motorists haven't got enough space and double park.

No passage here to Abercorn if you miss previous turn of 76

Entrance onto cycle route NCN75 often obstructed by cars parking side by side where is says KEEP CLEAR. Consider bollards to prevent vehicle access or block off the piece of road which is not needed.

There is a barrier across the cycle route and kerb at the side of the road. Access through is narrow for cycle, and more difficult for a buggy, or wheelchair. Could be improved by removing the barrier and replacing it with a bollard.

Beware of flooding in wet weather

Path washed out due to water flowing across the path from ground on the south side of the path.

Steps could be replaced by a ramp

Prone to flooding. Water gathers on the higher land on the west side of the path and flows onto the path. Needs a ditch to gather the water and pipe it under the path.

Muddy path by river Almond, Kirkton Campus

This is on SPOKES WL map as a cycle path ! Very muddy. Not recommended for cycling

Look out ! Exposed raised corner of manhole cover.

Sunken road and metal plate close to central island

Warning! Uneven road surface next half mile forcing cyclist into centre of carriageway.

The Union Canal towpath gets quite muddy when wet

Messy road closure at Uphall station, on the way to the cycle path

Another barrier on the railway path in Livingston

Joggers don't like barriers either!

Gate on NCN76 at Hopetoun House

There is a flight of steps up from the NCN754 canal towpath to the road, which leads to NCN76 at Hopetoun House

Coming into Bathgate from the west, NCN75 crosses the railway line, but the ramp up to the bridge faces east, entailing path-users doubling back. There are no double-backs on the adjacent railway line!

A89 cyclepath crossing filling station exit, with view obstructed by advertising, whilst some cyclists pass on main carriageway

The pedestrian crossing where users of the A89 cyclepath must cross side road (see #37338). Despite the End of Route sign, the route continues to Newbridge across the other side of the pedestrian crossing.

No crossing for A89 cyclepath at roundabout, users must go to the next junction on side road to cross over and double back - see #37339

Junction of A89 cyclepath and link to Union Canal (NCN 754) completely devoid of signage

Flared crash-barrier takes room from A89 cyclepath

Edinburgh-bound cyclists on way to Pedal on Parliament reject cyclepath in favour of A89 carriageway

No crossing of Blyth Road provided in A89 cyclepath. Are cyclists expected to continue down side road to cross it?

Junction with local path requires cyclists following A89 cyclepath to swerve around lamppost

Double corner where A89 cyclepath switches from being path slightly away from the road to roadside path

No dropped kerb onto cyclepath at end of Uphall station car park
